SAN LUIS OBISPO — Campus Dining will celebrate Earth Day early on April 19th from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to enjoy free food samples from Campus Dining’s local vendors. The vendors include Edna’s Bakery, Harvest Santa Barbara, Family Tree Produce and Greener Fields Together. These are just a handful of local vendors Campus Dining sources to help reduce Cal Poly’s foodprint and support sustainable dining.

The Zero Waste club will also on hand at the event to talk about decreasing dining waste. In addition to the food samplings, 19-Metro Station will feature ingredients from local sources at all of their food stations throughout the day. With this event, Campus Dining aims to inspire students to eat locally and think globally on behalf of Earth Day.
