Campus Dining to Launch New Customer Feedback System
Txt ‘n’ Tell allows students to text comments and questions about food, service
SAN LUIS OBISPO – Cal Poly’s Campus Dining is launching a pilot program that will allow customers to text comments and questions in real time. Txt ‘n’ Tell, a text feedback program, is intended to encourage students, staff and faculty to share their on-campus dining experiences.
“We want to hear what our students have to say about the food here on campus,” said Lorlie Leetham, executive director of the Cal Poly Corporation and associate vice president of commercial services. “Txt ‘n’ Tell will be a great way for us to generate customer feedback about how we are doing.”
To use Txt ‘n’ Tell, customers text 55744, enter a code that corresponds with the area in which they are dining, and text in their comments or questions. Customers can also visit www.calpolydining.com/txtntell to leave their comments on Campus Dining’s website.
Txt ‘n’ Tell will be monitored between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. All texts will receive immediate confirmation of receipt. And during monitoring hours, customers can expect personal follow up within 30 minutes of sending their text. Campus Dining has created two new student jobs specifically dedicated to monitoring the Txt ‘n’ Tell program.
“We are happy to implement this immediate customer service channel,” said Leetham. “Txt ‘n’ Tell will strengthen our connection with our customers and help us meet their dining needs.”
