When you use your Campus Express Club
Food is fuel for the mind. Restaurants on campus nourish and stimulate the intellect of Cal Poly's 3,100 residence students plus provide food for thousands of other students, faculty and staff. Every day, all year, at least one Campus Dining operation is open to serve you. In addition, the department's catering office provides service to small and large groups throughout the year.
Campus Dining services are available to Cal Poly students, faculty, staff, bona fide guests, and to persons participating in campus sponsored programs.
Food industry regulations stipulate that every food service organization needs at least one employee that is sanitation certified. Campus Dining has exceeded this standard by having nearly all of its regular employees SERVSAFE certified. To contact us, email campusdining@calpoly.edu or call (805) 756-1175. Convenient and flexible Dining Plans are provided for students living on campus. Payment processing generally takes two to three days from receipt of payment. Sign up for Fall 2008 Dining Plans by July 14 to avoid a $25 late fee.
All restaurants on campus, including the new venues in Poly Canyon Village, accept the Campus Express Club, which is an easy way to manage on-campus expenses.

WRAP: For the thirteenth year Campus Dining has been a Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP) winner for our efforts in waste reduction and recycling.
WRAP is an annual awards program established by the California Integrated Waste Management Board to recognize California businesses that have made outstanding efforts to reduce nonhazardous waste and send less garbage to our landfills. Realizing that the business sector generates more of the State's waste, the purpose of the WRAP award is to recognize companies that develop creative and aggressive programs. Practices evaluated include waste prevention, materials reuse, recycling, recycled-product procurement and employee education.
Campus Dining recycles all of our cardboard and much of our office and promotional literature. We collect and recycle glass, metal cans and plastic water bottles. We give our produce scraps to the student sustainable farm for composting and donate to county food banks. Our restaurants use recyclable or compostable take-out containers rather than "foam." We use recycled paper for our computers, stationery, business cards and many other printed items. We also use recycled and recyclable materials whenever practical. Our trucks run on biodiesel.
