Q: Are Plu$ Dollars the same as CAMPUS EXPRESS CLUB?
A: They are very similar; however, not exactly the same. Both Plu$ Dollars and CAMPUS EXPRESS CLUB are accessed through your PolyCard (campus I.D.) and function like debit accounts. The Hot Deals are available whether you use Plu$ Dollars or CAMPUS EXPRESS CLUB. Plu$ Dollars are part of Dining Plans offered to students living in the Residence Halls. The CAMPUS EXPRESS CLUB is available to any Cal Poly student, faculty or staff member. Plu$ Dollars can be used at all restaurants on campus. CAMPUS EXPRESS CLUB can be used at all restaurants and also at campus computer labs, El Corral Bookstore, Pony Prints and Health Services. Plu$ Dollars are offered in certain particular quarterly amounts with the various Dining Plans. CAMPUS EXPRESS CLUB can be in any amount the member wishes, from $1 to $5,000+. Plu$ Dollars are connected with Dining Plans and expire at the end of the contract period (usually the end of Spring Quarter). Unused Plu$ Dollars at the end of the contract are forfeited. CAMPUS EXPRESS CLUB carries over from quarter to quarter and year to year.

Q: Do I have to have a minimum value?
A: No. You can have as much or as little as you wish. When there's not enough to cover the full amount of your purchase, you can use up all the value and pay the difference in cash.

Q: Do I have to renew my membership each year?
A: No, your CAMPUS EXPRESS CLUB carries over from one year to the next.

Q: What do I do with my membership when I graduate?
A: The best thing to do is simply use all the value by the end of the quarter when you graduate. Most students find that between books at El Corral, groceries at the Campus Market and all the food items available at restaurants on campus it's easy to clear a membership before graduating. If you find you cannot use all the value before leaving campus, go to Customer Service in the atrium of Garden Grille to complete the form to cancel your membership. There is a $10 fee to do this, so the smartest way may be to just use up all the value.

Q: Can I use my CAMPUS EXPRESS CLUB in vending machines?
A: Yes. Vending machines at The Park and many other spots on campus, have "card readers" that accept your CAMPUS EXPRESS CLUB. Simply run your card through the card reader. It will check to see if your account has sufficient value for the maximum purchase for that machine before accepting your card, and then will deduct the amount of your actual purchase. When checking membership activity through th e Cal Poly Portal note that a vending machine transaction will show two actions: subtracting the machine's maximum purchase amount and then crediting the difference between that and the cost of the item you selected.

Q: Who do I call if I have further questions?
A: Call Customer Service, (805) 756-5939 or email campusdining@calpoly.edu
