CPC Welcomes new Board Members
“The Cal Poly Corporation Board of Directors appointed three new members during its annual meeting on Friday, June 12. The new appointees include the university’s vice president for Research and Economic Development, an esteemed community business leader and an achieved Cal Poly graduate student.
Renee A. Reijo Pera oversees the Grants Development and Sponsored Programs office, the Institutional Review Board, as well as the Cal Poly Technology Park.
“It is a great pleasure to serve on the Cal Poly Corporation Board of Directors. The Corporation supports the University in all aspects of its Learn by Doing philosophy, student engagement and services. In supporting the University, by extension, the Corporation also plays a critical role in the economy of the Central Coast. I truly believe in the mission of the Cal Poly Corporation and am honored to be a part of this organization at this key time in its history.”
Geri LaChance has served as the president and CEO of SESLOC Federal Credit Union for more than eight years.
“SESLOC has been rooted in supporting education and educators for nearly 80 years so the opportunity to serve with the corporation board is an honor; the university is a defining part of this community’s heritage of educational excellence. I am happy to contribute to improving the student experience, growing Cal Poly’s reach and ensuring fiscally sound operations.“
Alan Faz is an aerospace engineering graduate student with a B.S. in aerospace engineering and a B.A. in Spanish.
