Employee Referral Bonus Program Increases
Research has shown that employees who come into organizations through referrals are excellent contributors, stay longer and create a better work environment.
Cal Poly Corporation has long had an Employee Referral Bonus Program that encourages staff to refer someone they know for a job within the organization. The bonus for this program has recently increased from $500 to $1,000.
If a current employee refers someone who they think would be a great addition to the Corporation, and they meet the qualifications for an existing open full-time position, the staff member could receive a $1,000 bonus if their referral is hired and stays in the position for at least six months.
The Employee Referral Bonus Program is currently open for positions in Campus Dining and Human Resources. Employees whose referral is hired will receive a $500 bonus following the first three months of employment and another $500 after the first six months on the job.
By increasing the referral bonus, the Corporation hopes to further incentivize current employees to refer qualified friends and acquaintances to apply for available positions.
Candidates must be referred during the time period of Oct. 1, 2021 through Dec. 31, 2021. Keep in mind that the hiring of a referred employee must occur within six months of the initial referral date. Corporation senior management and Human Resources employees are excluded from receiving referral bonuses.
