How to Make Changes During Open Enrollment

Open enrollment has arrived! Once every year, Cal Poly Corporation employees have the opportunity to change their health benefits. From Sept. 19 to Oct. 14, they can make changes to their medical, dental and vision, life and other insurance plans.

This is also the time to make changes to life insurance beneficiaries and enroll in AFLAC and optional retirement plans like Tax Sheltered Annuities.

Staff who wish to add, make changes to, or continue to participate in the FSA and DSA account options will need to complete a 2023 enrollment form. Elections for FSA/DCA accounts must be renewed each year to participate.

On Oct. 5 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., and Oct. 10 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Jill Connelly with Human Resources will be hosting virtual Open Enrollment Information Sessions to help answer all questions.

The Corporation is pleased to continue to offer medical insurance with no monthly premiums for benefited employees. The no cost option that the Corporation is offering for 2023 is the PERS Gold PPO Plan (pending Cal Poly Corporation Board approval).

Staff who don’t wish to make changes to their healthcare plans, are good to go, and don’t need to do anything.

Staff who elect for Cash-in-Lieu or have a Flexible Spending Account, must re-enroll at this time.
