New Performance Evaluations Process Being Rolled Out
In another step to help improve the employee experience and increase staff growth opportunities, a new performance evaluation process was announced earlier this month.
This new process will give staff the opportunity to create a career development path with their supervisor and establish and clarify expectations. It will also give staff the chance to be recognized for their achievements from the past year while setting goals for the next.
Performance evaluations are not new to the Corporation. Pre-pandemic they were performed annually, with staff and their managers filling out a form that included a numerical system that tied their overall rating to a general salary increase. This is no longer the case. These performance evaluations are not tied to compensation.
All benefited employees will be evaluated based on five “core competencies” that are chosen based on historical competencies, CSU competencies, and further research. Employees in supervisory roles will be evaluated on four extra competencies.
Evaluations must be performed and submitted by June 30.
