Open House

Campus Dining had a major presence at Open House welcoming prospective students and their supporters. Chef's Table Campaign

Every Wednesday, a Campus Dining Chef showcased their culinary mettle with a dish of their own design.  Chef Tables included tasty salmon cakes, wild mushroom risotto, southwestern sandwiches, and Chinese hot pots. 

 

Superfood Campaign

Choosewell Ambassador Campaign

Choosewell is Campus Dining’s nutrition program. Student Choice Campaign

Earth Week Campaign

Campus Dining joined Cal Poly in celebrating Earth Week with a presence on Dexter lawn offering free samples, a Zero Waste game to win prizes, and a chance to compete in its Fender Blender contest. Stop Food Waste Campaign

Cooking in the Canyon Campaign

Campus Dining along with Cal Poly University Housing put together a series of one-hour cooking lessons for the culinary challenged. Myron's Mixer Campaign

Thrice as Nice Campaign

FriYay Campaign

Campus Dining offered FriYAY themed dinners at Canyon Café.  During Spring Quarter students enjoyed Asian cuisine and a backyard barbeque. Print, digital signage, and social media supported the campaign. 

Campus Market Baked Potato Campaign

As part of their Mustang Specials, Campus Market offered students, faculty, and staff a yummy loaded baked potato for lunch every Monday and Tuesday. Print, digital signage, and social media supported the campaign.

Campus Market Rice Bowls Campaign

As part of their Mustang Specials, Campus Market offered students, faculty, and staff delicious rice bowls for lunch every Thursday and Friday. Print, digital signage, and social media supported the campaign.

Tapingo Launch Campaign

Tapingo, a mobile ordering app, launched Spring Quarter, allowing students to order food from Campus Dining venues and have it waiting for them. Social media, CP Report Communication, web, community outreach which included setting out a hundred plastic pink flamingos in front of dining venues, and digital signage supported the launch. Guest Chef Campaign

Backyard BBQ Campaign

Midnight Breakfast Campaign

Campus Dining teams up with Inter Housing Council at the end of every quarter to offer students breakfast from 9:30 pm – 12 am. It is a great event for students to unwind and fuel up for finals. Print, digital signage, and social media supported this well-attended event.

Grads Eat Free Campaign

At the end of every academic year, Campus Dining invites graduates to 805 Kitchen for a free meal where they had their first meal on campus.  Print, digital signage, and social media support the campaign.

The Dish Email campaign

Every Saturday, 4,700 freshmen and 10,000 other subscribers receive Campus Dining’s email newsletter, The Dish, piping hot in their email boxes. Starbuck's Renovation Campaign

Campus Dining Web Analytics

Campus Dining saw an uptick in web traffic during Spring Quarter. 52.5% of visitors to the website were female and 47.5% were male. Visitors ages 18-24 were the most frequent users, arriving via their mobile devices. The budget buddy page was the most visited, followed by the home page, then hours and 805 Kitchen. Traffic to the site was driven mainly by organic search, second by direct and then by email. For the complete report, click here.
