From Monday, Sept. 9 to Friday, Oct. 4 benefited Cal Poly Corporation employees can revisit their health insurance benefits plans to make changes, add dependents, enroll in a new plan or re-enroll in Cash-in-Lieu. Known as Open Enrollment this is the one time of year when you can make these changes to your 2020 health benefits, with the exception of a qualifying life event.
For Current Employees
Open Enrollment is the time of year when benefited employees can make changes to their plans for the coming calendar year. Changes can be made to medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, life insurance and others. If you do not wish to make any changes to your health insurance plans, you don’t have to do a thing. If you elect Cash-in-Lieu or a Flexible Spending Account, you must re-enroll at this time.
Retirees who wish to make changes to their medical insurance plan can do so during the Open Enrollment period each fall by contacting CalPERS directly at: (888) 225-7377. If you do not wish to change your plan, you don’t have to do a thing.
