Instructor Led Training


Various courses are offered throughout the year by in-house experts or outside guest trainers, for both assigned learning and personal learning. Notifications of upcoming trainings are sent via email and employees sign-up through Skillsoft via your Cal Poly Portal.

In addition, the Corporation Calendar will list any available training sessions that are open to all employees.

Educational Fee Reimbursement program

Regular-benefited employees who have been employed longer than 12 months may be eligible to take courses in a degree program at Cal Poly or another accredited academic institutions with administrative approval. The degree program must be related to the employees current role at CPC. Fee reimbursement may not exceed the fees required for six or less units at Cal Poly. The course should be taken on the employee’s own time.

Performance Evaluation Training

The Cal Poly Corporation Performance Evaluation process helps improve employee development opportunities and recognize employee performance and achievements. These evaluations create a foundation of development by helping employees stay cognizant of their goals for the year. For managers these evaluations provide an opportunity to work with their staff to determine a career development path and establish and clarify expectations.
